AFCW PLC

AFCW PLC is the holding company for AFC Wimbledon Limited (which owns the football club), The Wider Interests of Football Limited (TWIOF, which owns our stadium in Plough Lane), AFC Wimbledon Women FC Limited (which owns our women's team) and AFCW Stadium Limited (now inactive, having sold Kingsmeadow). All of these subsidiaries are 100% owned by AFCW PLC.

AFCW PLC is over 75% owned and controlled by The Dons Trust. Nick Robertson own 10% of the shares. Other shareholders include Seedrs Nominees and individual shareholders.

Mick Buckley 2 500.jpgMick has been a Wimbledon fan since 1974. He was one of many people involved in the relaunch of our club in 2002 and has served as a Director on various boards since 2012. He played the role of Interim Club Chair from March to December 2022 and has been Chair of AFCW PLC since January 2023.

In this role he chairs board meetings and also acts as the day to day manager/ mentor of our MD (TBC), Head Of Football Operations (Craig Cope), First team manager (Johnnie Jackson) and Head Of Academy (Michael Hamilton).

In his professional life, Mick spent 25 years working in the broadcasting industry including lengthy spells as MD at Turner Broadcasting and CEO of CNBC EMEA. Mick has sat on a number of business and charity boards and over the last ten years has worked in a coaching capacity with a number of senior business leaders.

Michele Little 2 500.jpgMichele joined the Dons Trust as Treasurer in June 2020 and as part of that role oversees the Plough Lane Bond. She was appointed to the DT Board in December 2021 and the AFCW PLC Board in January 2022. She became Chair of the DT Board in September 2023.

Michele is a chartered accountant and chartered tax advisor, with an Economics degree from Cambridge. She was formerly a Financial Services Corporate Tax Director at Deloitte, specialising in advising UK retail banks and investment managers, US investment banks and brokers.

She is also Treasurer of a London charity as well as sitting on the AFC Wimbledon Foundation and WiSh boards of Trustees as DTB representative.

Graeme Price 1 500.jpgGraeme was co-opted on to the DT board in April 2022 and then formally elected in December 2022 before being selected to represent the DT on the PLC in January 2023. He has a wide breadth of experience gained over many years in the financial services sector.

Having started off in accountancy, he has served as a pensioneer trustee with the majority of his career spent working on the distribution side of financial services for Axa and UBS wealth management. He is now the Executive Chair of the Jarrovian, a group of wealth management businesses and a qualified Chartered Financial Planner.

In addition to this he is a founder trustee of a charity, the Exec chair of a not for profits organisation and a speaker on philanthropy and financial planning matters.

Iain McNay 1 500.jpgIain’s first Dons game was in 1971 after he had just moved to Wimbledon. He enjoyed a 6-0 victory in the Southern League against Merthyr Tydfil with Dickie Guy playing in goal and Ian Cooke scoring two goals and was immediately hooked.

He is Chair of Cherry Red Records, an Independent record label which he founded in 1978. The company has grown over the years and has been in the annual Top 20 market share for record labels in the UK for the past 15 years or so.

Prior to that he worked in the music industry for many years holding senior positions at various companies. He has also been on the Councils of the two record label trade bodies, AIM (Association of Independent Music) and the BPI.

He is currently a trustee (Council member) for the Royal Albert Hall and is also a member of their Programme and Marketing Committee. He was previously Chair of the PLC Board until he stood down last December and also served on the Dons Trust Board for 7 years.

Nick Robertson 2 500.jpgNick was appointed to the board of AFCW PLC in 2021 as the largest minority shareholder in AFCW. Nick co-founded ASOS.com in 2000 and was its CEO from 2000 to 2015.

Nick remains on the board of ASOS PLC and currently Chairs the ASOS foundation board.

Nick's experience spans Advertising and Marketing in the early part of his career having worked for Young and Rubicam and Carat before co-founding ASOS.com, the global online fashion retailer in 2000. Nick has experienced everything first hand from entrepreneurial start ups to large scale business and has been a Director of a UK PLC for over 20 years.

James Macdonald 2 500.jpgJames has been a Wimbledon fan since 1978 and was a founder member of the Dons Trust. He was elected to the Dons Trust Board in December 2022 and in September 2023 became the third DTB representative on the PLC board.

James is Chief Operating Officer for a £17m turnover Multi Academy Trust which allows him to use his experience to help the club deliver success within its means.

Working in education provides him with the experience of making tight budgets work but primarily his role is to represent the Dons Trust Board on the operational side of the club and ensure that decisions are taken with the best interests of the owners of the club.

Michele Gull is an experienced HR professional and currently Director of Human Resources at Dulwich College.

Previous to this, she spent 10 years at West Ham Utd as HR Director and before that was with Charlton Athletic.

Michele acted as project lead for the successful implementation of the Premier League’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Standard. Michele was also Project Lead on the implementation of Football Leadership Diversity Code, and she comes with many years of relevant commercial and HR experience within the football world.

Dan Johnson is a senior communications executive with more than 20 years' experience, including 13 years as chief spokesperson for the Premier League, where he sat on the Executive Leadership Team, Football Foundation Facilities Panel and various club working groups.

Dan is now responsible for global communications for the world's largest sports entertainment streaming platform, DAZN.
