Below are just a few thank you messages we have received from parents of mascots:

"It has been fantastic because everyone has been so warm and friendly. The players were amazing when we went into the dressing room before the match. Tom has really enjoyed it and I've never seen him kick the ball so well! It's a team effort at this club and I've seen that today." (Trevor, Tom's Dad)

"My son, Elliott, was mascot and I would like to say 'thank you' for a great day. Elliott had a great time & enjoyed getting up close & personal with many of his favourite players." (Sheila Gould)

"The day was another example of why Wimbledon is a true fans club. The genuine warmth and welcome from Jim, Neal, the players and the rest of the staff was something that we'll treasure for ever."

"I don't know if there is an award for 'Best Club Mascot Day' but if there is, then I'd be happy to nominate AFC Wimbledon."

"My son Max said it was epic and my daughter Hannah started listing her three favourite parts of the day, but gave up once she'd got to seven. Even my wife, who had only been to one football match before yesterday, had a good time. That was, in its own way, the most remarkable part of yesterday." (Dominic O'Reilly)
